Home early enough after work to wash the windows before dinner. Jiejie climbed the small stepladder and helped wipe the groundfloor windows. Didi experimented inserting items into the bucket of soapy water: a white stone, his “Mater” toy car, a bare foot.
Early morning he clambered onto the bed clutching two of the Cars-movie characters. Barging about on top of the duvet in search of a hollow with Mater the tow-truck in one hand and VW love bus in the other. Settled into place and went back to sleep still holding on tightly.
