Justice

A leisurely cycle ride with kids buckled in on the backs of bikes. Along the river in the sunshine, lunch at the cafe by the footbridge, a prolonged stop at the playground in Llandaff Fields giving parents the chance to laze on the grass with bits of weekend newspaper.

A car ride to Penarth in the evening daylight. Strong wind on the estuary driving big turbid waves. Bashing against the sea-wall, spray erupting over promenade and pier.

News all day about the execution of Osama bin Laden. Public figures including national leaders declaring unchallenged that “justice has been done.”
