Forty boxes

Sunday: back to the Bay by river boat this time. Excited kids makes for satsified adults. Coffees, Norwegian Church, playground, ice-creams, carousel, and a good school jazz band performing in the lobby of the Millennium Centre. Both asleep by the end of the return journey. Carried from the quay to an attractive spot on the grass by the bank to doze it off.

Saw Nana off at the train station, late afternoon. Visited the pair of Chinese supermarkets in Riverside and snaffled up a wire-basket-load of familiar brands.

Wound up the day with a few more hours in the attic. Forty boxes of books, papers, CDs and DVDs now stacked and awaiting selection.

Clumps of fluff

bobbing in the wake of mother,

the day-old ducklings
